The University of Auckland Clever Canine Lab was established in 2017. Its primary objective is to explore how dogs think, with a particular focus on understanding the social bonds between dogs and their owners. In order to do this, we present dogs volunteered by their owners with fun games to play.

We hope this research will not only help us understand how dogs think, but also lead to a deeper understanding of how intelligence evolves more generally. If you are interested in volunteering your dog click here.
